Don Bosco College, Kottiyam officially inaugurated the First NCC batch on 17th October 2023 by the chief guest honourable Minister of Animal Husbandry Ms. J. Chinchu Rani. The college unit is functioning under the 7 Kerala Battalion of Kollam group. NCC is the largest youth development organization in the world sponsored by the Indian Armed Forces. It aims to develop the physical, mental, and moral qualities of young Indians, fostering patriotism, unity, and discipline

  • Our cadet, UO Nishanth Krishna selected for All India Trekking Camp in 2023
  • Our SD Cadets L/CPL Avinash B, CDT Pranav Das K, CDT Joyal J attended Army Attachment Camp under Li Maratha Regiment in 2024
  • Our SW Cadets L/CPL Krishna S, L/CPL Nirosha Bose, CDT Suneesha Sujith attended Army Attachment Camp under Madras Regiment in 2024
  • Our Cadet L/CPL Mekha Prakash selected for Advanced Leadership Camp under Kar & Goa Dte at Surathkal in 2024.
  • Our first batch cadets L/CPL Madhav M Nair, L/CPL Rubin J Nath, L/CPL Sruthi P Krishnan, CDT Fathima P S, passed the C certificate exam with an A Grade.
With the motto “Unity & Discipline”, NCC has been the propeller in channelizing the force of the youth population of India since 1948, with three clear cut aims:

Development of leadership, character, comradeship, spirit of sportsmanship and the ideals of service

To create a force of disciplined and trained man power, which in a national emergency could be of assistance to the country

To provide training for students with a view to develop in them officer like qualities, to enable them to get commission in the armed forces.
