Since its inception as a postgraduate department in 2017, the department has consistently offered a dynamic and interdisciplinary curriculum that combines rigorous academic training with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Program Objectives
Address the requirements of the language use in globalized context.
Have improved competence in translation and to view the same not only as a tool for cultural transmission but also as skill acquisition.
Career oriented training in various aspects like LSRW skills, grammar, vocabulary, etc. for a skilful communication and language skills
Comprehend the current modes of writing – encompass the issues related to race, gender, ethnicity, climate change etc. and realize the role of literature in inculcating social sensitiveness.
Contribute to the realm of knowledge production with an increased intellectual, creative, critical and multidisciplinary capability.
